Moon

I woke up at 3 am this morning and went outside. It was so bright in the back yard that I threw a shadow from the moon. My street was quiet, as quiet as it gets, the air was still and I was so glad I woke up to see it. It was good to be alive and alone with the night.

Your World View

You are a happy, well-balanced person who likes people and is liked by others.
You question whether many conventional views on morality are valid under all circumstances.
You are essentially a content person.

Sometimes, you consider yourself a little superior.
You are moral by your own standards.
You believe that morality is what best suits the occasion.

When we were little girls
We lived to make-believe
You were Mary Richards
and I was your Rhoda
Working girls in Uncle Albert's room
(whoever that was)
-and that blue lightbulb
We were the entire stage cast
of Jesus Christ Superstar
standing
on the green ottoman in your livingroom
Mostly,
we were in school
You were my first teacher
even though
you had probably learned the stuff
moments before
I remember you
playing school in Uncle John's canteen
by the old apple tree
Your summer sessions smelled of old fridges and oil cloth
Not surprisingly,
you are still teaching school and I
still learning
Funny how early you find your calling

There is only one Mr.Darcy but he has many faces

Went to see Pride and Prejudice Friday night with Micha and Erin. Went in expecting to bemoan the lack of Colin Firth in the picture. Came out feeling decidedly post-coital. Not bad for $9.99.

Mr. Darcy- he's like crack for women. So sombre, detached, downright rude, but you know--under that shell--he's really sensitive, loyal and misunderstood. How perfect. The perfect man- so true he couldn't grandstand to save his life. When Mr Darcy (Matthew MacFadyen) walks out of the fog across the field near the end of the movie, it is an excruciatingly long progress, that you never want to end. I think I need to have a cigarette now...

It came from the Planet Matrimony.

Lapdancing in the Lap of Luxury

I have fallen in love...with a bed. I want to take it home with me and never be parted from it. I slept 7 hrs and feel like I caught up on all the rest I have been denied my entire adult life. It's hard and tall and wide, with smooth cool sheets, perfect feather pillows. No wonder John and Yoko stayed in bed here so long.
